Overview:
This is a nice period piece. Super 16, black and white. A small disclaimer - this trailer was made from a DVD of a low res (160 by 120)rough cut I will replace it with a better version as soon as it is available. This was a very ambitious project, and difficult to pull off on such a low budget. However I had an excellent crew to work with and the director was very firm in what she wanted. We shot it over two weekends as that is when the studio space was available. The art director did an amazing job converting the raw space with white walls to a sweatshop from the Early 1900's, and she only had 36 hours to paint, build and dress. Finding the cobble stones street proved to be a difficult task, as they are all being paved over. Special thanks to the New York City Police department, who watched out for us on our exteriors. One small tragedy was when we accidentally set off a smoke alarm in one of the locations with our fog machine. Well we were simulating a large fire. Many apologies to the New York City Fire department for the false alarm. Thankfully no one was hurt.
