Sweet Amerika

Overview:
Shooting Super 16mm cityscapes around New York in the winter. Brrrr. You find out who your friends really are. Especially fun was filming the Statue of Liberty I used a 385mm lens, One day was crystal clear and about 60 degrees, the next day, 35 degrees and windy. One night on the Promenade in Brookyn Heights, I even convinced my wife to come with me. I wasn't worried so much about being mugged for my Aaton, but I figured that no police officer would give me a ticket for not securing a permit, if I had my seven month pregnant wife with me . It was so cold she had to do a little jig dance to keep warm. One location provided just the perfect place to shoot sunsets, it is now on my list of secret palces to film. The sequence was rendered from a highly compressed file, so it is a little blocky.
